IN MEMORY

Thomas Carroll LaPuppet, the legendary shotokan karate stylist
and greatest karate fighter to come out of New York City,
He lost his four year battle with cancer on March 23, 1999.
This was his last film. All of us who were blessed to know him,
dedicate this project to his MEMORY.
A true martial arts pioneer and a legend in his own time.
Thomas LaPuppet was an unselfish hero who will live on
through his teachings arbitrating and promoting fair martial arts competition.
He brought people together, forged coalitions and used his
experience working with organizations to analyze and implement growth.
Thomas LaPuppet was a ferocious fighter who fought everybody,
and win or lose he was always a gentleman.
After winning numerous major championships in both
sparring and forms competition, he was inducted into the
BLACK BELT HALL OF FAME in 1969
as
"Karate Player of the Year".
He is The
"Angel With A Kick".

Shooting began in September in the historic town of Marshall, N.C. for a made-for-TV movie and home video featuring the subject of angels and martial arts. "ANGELS WITH A KICK" will respond to the recent network clamor for more projects featuring ANGELS, on the heels of programs like "Touched by an Angel" and "Promised Land", which are enjoying critical success and high ratings.

"ANGEL WITH A KICK", a Dave A. Adams movie, will be unique in many ways. Its stars, Ricky and Randy Smith, both members of the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame and veterans of martial arts movies, including their most recent, "The Quest", with Jean-Claude Van Damme and Roger Moore, are North Carolina Natives. Also starring in the project is world renowned martial art Master Thomas LaPuppett, Grand Master Roger Jones, Master Roger Yarborough, Patrick Green and
Weapons Master & Angel Roy Williams,. stunts & stand-in ~ Marcel Love.
The soundtrack for the movie is a combination of leading film music producers
and the songs featuring the new singing sensation Brenda Tomey.

A film for the entire family, "ANGELS WITH A KICK", depicts the family of the third generation cattle farmer separated by unjust circumstances beyond their control. The young twin boys in the family struggle with growing up and come under the subtle wisdom and guidance of someone sent as a divine messenger to hold everything together until the family can be whole again.

Director Dave A. Adams is no stranger to film and TV. During his twenty-six years in film and video, he has produced and/or directed over 88 music videos, two feature films and over 5,000 other projects, garnering him many awards. He has become a nationally acclaimed producer and director for television specials. With talented Christian writers, director, stars and music and crew, who better to bring a story about an Angel to your television and home video!
