These photographs illustrate a unique art performance which I have developed and you may find interesting.
Through my work with Karate, I have participated in many National Championships as well as appeared on numerous television shows, such as "Ted Turner’s Wide World of Entertainment" (1977), Showtime (1994), ESPN2 (1998) and my own magazine format for the Karate Arts as the television show named "Open Arts", (from 1986-1992) and my DoJo (karate schools),( Olympic Karate Studios)(1973~1977) &"Rhythm Arts" (1977~ Present).
As a guest performer at these events and tv shows my routine is performed with the Samurai~Sword and Nunchaku (originally a flailing tool used in the rice fields of Okinawa) by combining music with the precision and grace of the Martial Arts plus the addition of special effects, a moving visual experience is created for the audience. They are drawn into the performance and experience the illusion of suspended time. This phenomenon of time and space is precisely the manifestation of Eastern Philosophy which is
paramount in the birth and growth of Karate.
